FEBRUARY...
IT WAS THE WARMEST FEBRUARY SINCE 2005...AND THE 5TH FEBRUARY SINCE
2000 WITH A BELOW NORMAL AVERAGE TEMPERATURE.

MARCH...
IT WAS THE COOLEST MARCH SINCE 2005.

ON MARCH 18TH...THE TEMPERATURE ROSE ABOVE 80 DEGREES FOR THE FIRST
TIME IN 2008.

IT WAS THE FIRST MARCH SINCE 2002 WITH ABOVE NORMAL RAINFALL..AND
THE SIXTH MARCH SINCE 1990 WITH ABOVE NORMAL RAINFALL. IT WAS THE
FOURTH WETTEST MARCH ON RECORD.

MARCH 2008 WAS THE SNOWIEST MARCH SINCE 1984...AND THE SECOND
SNOWIEST MARCH ON RECORD.

THE 2.5 INCHES OF SNOW WHICH FELL ON MARCH 7TH MARKED THE SECOND
SNOWIEST DAY ON RECORD IN THE MONTH OF MARCH. THIS WAS JUST BEHIND
MARCH 10TH 1984...WHEN 3.5 INCHES FELL.

HAIL FELL DURING A THUNDERSTORM ON THE 15TH.

APRIL...
IT WAS THE 7TH COOLEST APRIL ON RECORD IN TERMS OF AVERAGE
TEMPERATURE.

IT WAS THE 9TH WETTEST APRIL ON RECORD...AND THE 9TH APRIL SINCE
1990 WITH ABOVE NORMAL RAINFALL.

ON APRIL 3RD...A TORNADO PASSED OVER THE NORTH LITTLE ROCK AIRPORT.
THE STORM PRODUCED A WIND GUST OF 64 MPH...WHICH RANKS AS THE 2ND
HIGHEST MAGNITUDE WIND GUST EVER RECORDED AT NORTH LITTLE ROCK.

MAY...
TEMPERATURES WERE GENERALLY BELOW NORMAL. THE TEMPERATURE REACH 90
DEGREES FOR THE FIRST TIME ON MAY 22ND. AND...IT WAS THE 8TH MAY
SINCE 2000 WITH BELOW NORMAL RAINFALL.

JUNE...
IT WAS THE COOLEST JUNE SINCE 2003. IN TERMS OF AVERAGE LOW
TEMPERATURE...IT WAS THE NINTH WARMEST JUNE ON RECORD. FOR THE FIRST
TIME SINCE JUNE 2000...NO TEMPERATURES WERE GREATER THAN 93 DEGREES.

IT WAS THE TENTH DRIEST JUNE ON RECORD...AND THE FOURTH JUNE SINCE
1977 WITH FIVE DAYS OR LESS OF MEASURABLE RAINFALL.

JULY...
IT WAS THE WARMEST JULY SINCE 2006. IN TERMS OF AVERAGE HIGH
TEMPERATURE...IT WAS THE NINTH WARMEST JULY ON RECORD.

ON JULY 20TH...THE TEMPERATURE REACHED 100 DEGREES FOR THE FIRST
TIME IN THE YEAR.

IT WAS THE 7TH DRIEST JULY ON RECORD.

AUGUST...
IT WAS THE COOLEST AUGUST SINCE 2004...AND THE SECOND SINCE 2000
WITH A BELOW NORMAL AVERAGE TEMPERATURE. IT WAS THE 9TH COOLEST
AUGUST ON RECORD IN TERMS OF AVERAGE TEMPERATURE.

IT WAS THE 4TH WETTEST AUGUST ON RECORD. ON AUGUST 20TH...2.12
INCHES OF RAIN FELL. THIS RANKS AS THE 7TH WETTEST DAY ON RECORD IN
THE MONTH OF AUGUST AT NORTH LITTLE ROCK.

SEPTEMBER...
IT WAS THE COOLEST SEPTEMBER SINCE 2006.

IT WAS THE WETTEST SEPTEMBER ON RECORD AT NORTH LITTLE ROCK.

THE 2.45 INCHES OF RAIN WHICH FELL ON THE 2ND RANKED AS THE 8TH
WETTEST DAY ON RECORD IN THE MONTH OF SEPTEMBER.

THE 4.83 INCHES OF RAIN WHICH FELL ON THE 3RD RANKED AS THE 2ND
WETTEST DAY ON RECORD IN THE MONTH OF SEPTEMBER.

THE RAINFALL ON SEPTEMBER 2ND AND 3RD WAS THE RESULT OF THE REMNANTS
OF HURRICANE GUSTAV MOVING ACROSS WESTERN ARKANSAS. A TOTAL OF 4.96
INCHES OF RAIN FELL IN A 24-HOUR PERIOD FROM THE 2ND TO THE 3RD.
THIS WAS THE 5TH HIGHEST 24-HOUR RAINFALL TOTAL RECORDED AT NORTH
LITTLE ROCK SINCE RECORDS BEGAN.

OCTOBER...
TEMPERATURES WERE GENERALLY BELOW NORMAL...AND RAINFALL WAS SLIGHTLY
ABOVE NORMAL.

NOVEMBER...
IT WAS THE COOLEST NOVEMBER SINCE 2000. IN TERMS OF AVERAGE MONTHLY
LOW TEMPERATURE...IT WAS THE EIGTH COOLEST NOVEMBER ON RECORD.

THE TEMPERATURE FELL BELOW FREEZING FOR THE FIRST TIME SINCE THE
SPRING ON NOVEMBER 16TH. IT WAS THE EARLIEST FREEZE SINCE 2000.

THE LOW TEMPERATURE OF 23 DEGREES ON THE 22ND MARKED THE 10TH LOWEST
TEMPERATURE EVER RECORDED IN THE MONTH OF NOVEMBER AT NORTH LITTLE
ROCK.

IT WAS THE DRIEST NOVEMBER SINCE 2002...AND THE 4TH DRIEST NOVEMBER
ON RECORD.

THE FIRST SNOWFALL SINCE THE SPRING OCCURRED ON NOVEMBER 30TH.

DECEMBER...
IT WAS THE COOLEST DECEMBER SINCE 2000...AND THE TENTH COOLEST DECEMBER
ON RECORD. IT WAS THE DRIEST DECEMBER SINCE 2005.

THE LOW TEMPERATURE OF 12 DEGREES ON THE 22ND WAS THE COLDEST TEMPERATURE
AT NORTH LITTLE ROCK SINCE JANUARY 24TH 2003.
