IT WAS THE COOLEST JANUARY SINCE 2003...AND THE FIRST JANUARY SINCE 2004
WITH BELOW NORMAL RAINFALL.

THE HIGHEST WIND GUST DURING THE MONTH WAS 54 MPH...WHICH OCCURRED AS A
VERY STRONG COLD FRONT PASSED THROUGH THE REGION ON THE 29TH.

ON THE 2ND...A PRESSURE READING OF 30.91 INCHES WAS MEASURED. THIS WAS
DETERMINED TO BE THE SEVENTH HIGHEST PRESSURE READING EVER RECORDED
AT LITTLE ROCK SINCE RECORDS BEGAN IN 1879. IT WAS ALSO ONE OF THE
HIGHEST PRESSURES EVER RECORDED IN JANUARY.

FEBRUARY...
IT WAS THE WARMEST FEBRUARY SINCE 2005...AND THE FIFTH FEBRUARY
SINCE 2000 WITH ABOVE NORMAL RAINFALL.

ON THE 5TH...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM PASSED OVER LITTLE ROCK ADAMS
FIELD. THIS PRODUCED A 67 MPH WIND GUST...WHICH WAS THE FIFTH
HIGHEST MAGNITUDE WIND GUST EVER RECORDED AT LITTLE ROCK.

MARCH...
IT WAS THE COOLEST MARCH SINCE 2005.

ON MARCH 9TH...THE FINAL FREEZE OF THE YEAR OCCURRED.

ON MARCH 18TH...THE TEMPERATURE ROSE ABOVE 80 DEGREES FOR THE FIRST
TIME DURING THE YEAR.

IT WAS THE FIRST MARCH SINCE 2002 WITH ABOVE NORMAL RAINFALL...AND
THE 6TH MARCH SINCE 1990 WITH ABOVE NORMAL RAINFALL.

IT WAS THE SNOWIEST MARCH SINCE 1984...AND THE 9TH SNOWIEST MARCH
SINCE RECORDS BEGAN. THERE WERE THREE DAYS WITH MEASURABLE
SNOWFALL...AND EACH DAY SET A RECORD SNOWFALL FOR THE DATE.

THE 0.2 INCHES OF SNOW ON THE 6TH WAS THE FIRST MEASURABLE SNOWFALL
EVER RECORDED ON THAT DATE IN LITTLE ROCK. PREVIOUSLY...ONLY A TRACE
HAD BEEN MEASURED IN 1969...1982...AND 1989.

HAIL FELL AS A THUNDERSTORM PASSED OVER THE AIRPORT ON MARCH 15TH.

APRIL...
IT WAS THE WETTEST APRIL SINCE 1991...AND WAS THE 12TH WETTEST APRIL
ON RECORD.

THE 3.38 INCHES OF RAIN WHICH FELL ON APRIL 9TH RANKED AS THE 10TH
WETTEST DAY ON RECORD IN THE MONTH OF APRIL.

MAY...
ON MAY 19TH...THE TEMPERATURE ROSE ABOVE 90 DEGREES FOR THE FIRST
TIME THIS YEAR.

IT WAS THE 15TH MAY SINCE 1990 WITH BELOW NORMAL RAINFALL.

JUNE...
THERE WERE NO TEMPERATURES GREATER THAN 93 DEGREES INN JUNE. THIS
WAS ONLY THE 10TH TIME SINCE 1955.

IT WAS THE WETTEST JUNE SINCE 2004...AND THE 13TH JUNE SINCE 1980
WITH RAINFALL AT OR ABOVE NORMAL. ONLY FOUR DAYS HAD MEASURABLE
RAINFALL...WHICH WAS ONLY THE 16TH JUNE SINCE 1880 WITH FOUR OR LESS
DAYS WITH MEASURABLE RAINFALL.

JULY...
ON THE 20TH...THE TEMPERATURE ROSE TO 100 DEGREES FOR THE FIRST TIME
THIS YEAR.

IT WAS THE WETTEST JULY SINCE 2006. THE TEN DAYS WITH MEASURABLE
RAINFALL WERE THE MOST IN JULY SINCE 2004.

AUGUST...
IT WAS THE FIRST AUGUST SINCE 2004 WITH A BELOW NORMAL AVERAGE
TEMPERATURE. THE HIGHEST TEMPERATURE DURING THE MONTH WAS 105
DEGREES...WHICH OCCURRED ON THE 2ND. THIS WAS ALSO THE HOTTEST
TEMPERATURE FOR THE YEAR.

IT WAS THE WETTEST AUGUST SINCE 1991...AND THE SIXTH AUGUST SINCE
1990 WITH ABOVE NORMAL RAINFALL.

SEPTEMBER...
IT WAS THE COOLEST SEPTEMBER SINCE 2006. IT WAS THE WETTEST
SEPTEMBER SINCE 1978...AND THE 8TH WETTEST SEPTEMBER ON RECORD.

4.38 INCHES OF RAIN FELL ON THE 3RD...WHICH WAS THE RESULT OF THE
REMNANTS OF HURRICANE GUSTAV. THIS WAS ALSO THE THIRD WETTEST DAY
EVER RECORDED IN THE MONTH OF SEPTEMBER.

OCTOBER...
TEMPERATURES WERE SLIGHTLY BELOW NORMAL...AND RAINFALL WAS SLIGHTLY
ABOVE NORMAL.

NOVEMBER...
IT WAS THE COOLEST NOVEMBER SINCE 2002...AND THE FIRST NOVEMBER
SINCE 2002 WITH A BELOW NORMAL AVERAGE TEMPERATURE.

ON THE 16TH...THE FIRST FREEZE OF THE SEASON OCCURRED.

DECEMBER...
IT WAS THE COOLEST DECEMBER SINCE 2000. THE LOW TEMPERATURE OF 13 ON
THE 22ND WAS THE COOLEST READING SINCE DECEMBER 25TH 2004.
