DEGREE TEMPERATURES IN JANUARY FOR THE FIRST TIME SINCE 2003 AND THE
FEWEST DAYS WITH 60 DEGREE TEMPERATURES IN JANUARY SINCE 2001. THERE
WERE THE MOST DAYS WITH FREEZING TEMPERATURES IN JANUARY SINCE 2004.
IT WAS THE WETTEST JANUARY SINCE 1950 AND THE FIRST TIME SINCE 1982
THAT THERE WAS AT LEAST 8 INCHES OF RAIN IN JANUARY. IT WAS THE 8TH
TO WETTEST JANUARY ON RECORD.

JANUARY 13...THE RAINFALL OF 4.21 INCHES BROKE THE RECORD FOR THE
MOST RAINFALL FOR THE DATE. THE PREVIOUS RECORD WAS 3.39 INCHES SET
IN 1899. IT WAS THE MOST RAINFALL ON ANY DAY DURING THE YEAR.

JANUARY 14...THE RAINFALL OF 2.08 INCHES BROKE THE RECORD FOR THE
MOST RAINFALL ON THE DATE. THE PREVIOUS RECORD WAS 1.67 INCHES SET
IN 1918.

JANUARY 31...THE HIGH TEMPERATURE OF 30 DEGREES WAS THE LOWEST
MAXIMUM TEMPERATURE FOR A DAY DURING THE YEAR. IT WAS THE LAST DAY
DURING THE YEAR THAT THE HIGH TEMPERATURE DID NOT RISE ABOVE
FREEZING.

FEBRUARY...IT WAS THE FIFTH TIME IN THE LAST SIX YEARS THAT FEBRUARY
WAS BELOW NORMAL ON TEMPERATURE. THERE WERE THE MOST DAYS WITH
FREEZING TEMPERATURES DURING FEBRUARY SINCE 2003 AND THE MOST DAYS
IN FEBRUARY WITH TEMPERATURES IN THE TEENS SINCE 2002. THERE WERE
THE MOST DAYS WITH TEMPERATURES OF 60 DEGREES OR HIGHER IN FEBRUARY
SINCE 2000. IT WAS THE DRIEST FEBRUARY SINCE 1999 AND THE 15TH TO
DRIEST FEBRUARY ON RECORD. IT WAS THE THIRD STRAIGHT YEAR FOR
FEBRUARY TO BE BELOW NORMAL ON TEMPERATURE.

FEBRUARY 1...THE SNOWFALL OF 1.1 INCHES WAS THE MOST SNOWFALL ON ANY
DAY DURING THE YEAR.

FEBRUARY 15...THE HIGH TEMPERATURE OF 36 DEGREES WAS THE LAST TIME
THE HIGH TEMPERATURE WAS BELOW 40 DEGREES FOR THE SEASON. A TRACE OF
SNOW THAT DAY WAS THE LAST SNOW OF THE SEASON.

FEBRUARY 16...THE LOW TEMPERATURE OF 18 DEGREES WAS THE LOWEST
TEMPERATURE OF THE YEAR. IT WAS THE LAST TIME THE TEMPERATURE WAS
BELOW 20 DEGREES.

FEBRUARY 20...THE TEMPERATURE REACHED 70 DEGREES FOR THE FIRST TIME
FOR THE YEAR.

MARCH...IT WAS THE WARMEST MARCH SINCE 1910 AND THE 3RD TO WARMEST
MARCH ON RECORD. IT WAS THE 6TH TIME THAT THE AVERAGE TEMPERATURE
FOR MARCH WAS 60.0 DEGREES OR HIGHER. MARCH AVERAGED 18.2 DEGREES
WARMER THAN FEBRUARY. THAT WAS THE BIGGEST WARMUP BETWEEN
CONSECUTIVE MONTHS SINCE FEBRUARY AND MARCH 1985. THE AVERAGE HIGH
TEMPERATURE OF 73.4 DEGREES WAS THE HIGHEST ON RECORD FOR MARCH. THE
PREVIOUS RECORD WAS 73.3 DEGREES SET IN 1910. THE AVERAGE LOW
TEMPERATURE WAS THE 8TH TO HIGHEST ON RECORD AND WAS THE HIGHEST FOR
MARCH SINCE 1946. THE 9 DAYS WITH HIGH TEMPERATURES OF 80 DEGREES OR
HIGHER WERE THE MOST FOR MARCH SINCE 1967. THE 22 DAYS WITH HIGH
TEMPERATURES OF 70 DEGREES OR HIGHER TIED 1967 FOR THE MOST EVER FOR
MARCH. IT WAS THE DRIEST MARCH SINCE 1966 AND THE 10TH TO DRIEST
MARCH ON RECORD.

MARCH 5...THE RANGE OF 40 DEGREES BETWEEN THE HIGH AND LOW
TEMPERATURES FOR THE DAY (70/30) WAS THE LARGEST RANGE IN
TEMPERATURE FOR A DAY DURING THE YEAR.

MARCH 12...THE TEMPERATURE REACHED 80 DEGREES FOR THE FIRST TIME FOR
THE YEAR.

APRIL...IT WAS THE COOLEST APRIL SINCE 1997 AND IT TIED 1984 FOR THE
17TH TO COOLEST APRIL ON RECORD. IT WAS THE FIRST TIME SINCE 1921
AND THE 4TH TIME EVER THAT APRIL WAS COOLER THAN MARCH. THE AVERAGE
HIGH TEMPERATURE WAS THE COOLEST FOR APRIL SINCE 1997 AND WAS LOWER
THAN THE AVERAGE HIGH TEMPERATURE FOR MARCH FOR THE FIRST TIME SINCE
1935. THE AVERAGE LOW TEMPERATURE WAS THE LOWEST FOR APRIL SINCE
1997 AND WAS THE 8TH TO COOLEST ON RECORD. IT WAS THE FIRST TIME
SINCE 1921 THAT THE AVERAGE LOW TEMPERATURE FOR APRIL WAS LOWER THAN
THE AVERAGE LOW FOR MARCH. IT WAS THE FIRST TIME SINCE 1982 THAT
THERE WERE MORE 80 DEGREE TEMPERATURES IN MARCH THAN THERE WERE IN
APRIL. IT WAS THE FIRST TIME SINCE 1973 THAT THERE WERE MORE HIGH
TEMPERATURES BELOW 60 DEGREES IN APRIL THAN THERE WERE IN MARCH. IT
WAS THE FIRST TIME SINCE 1936 THAT THERE WERE MORE HIGH TEMPERATURES
BELOW 50 DEGREES IN APRIL THAN THERE WERE IN MARCH. IT WAS THE FIRST
TIME SINCE 1994 THAT THERE WAS A FREEZE IN APRIL. IT WAS THE 8TH
TIME IN THE LAST 10 YEARS THAT APRIL WAS BELOW NORMAL ON
RAINFALL.

APRIL 7...THE HIGH TEMPERATURE OF 49 DEGREES BROKE THE RECORD FOR
THE LOWEST MAXIMUM FOR THE DATE. THE PREVIOUS RECORD WAS 50 DEGREES
SET IN 1916 AND TIED IN 1982. IT WAS THE LAST TIME THE HIGH
TEMPERATURE WAS BELOW 50 DEGREES FOR THE SEASON.

APRIL 8...THE LOW TEMPERATURE OF 28 DEGREES BROKE THE RECORD LOW FOR
THE DATE. THE PREVIOUS RECORD WAS 32 DEGREES SET IN 1971. IT ALSO
TIED THE RECORD LOW TEMPERATURE FOR THE MONTH OF APRIL WHICH WAS
FIRST SET ON APRIL 1 1886 AND WAS TIED ON APRIL 5 1920 AND APRIL 7
1971. IT WAS THE LAST TIME THE TEMPERATURE WAS FREEZING OR LOWER FOR
THE SEASON. IT WAS THE LATEST FREEZE SINCE 1989.

APRIL 14...THE HIGH TEMPERATURE OF 53 DEGREES WAS THE LAST TIME THE
HIGH TEMPERATURE WAS BELOW 60 DEGREES FOR THE SEASON.

APRIL 16...THE LOW TEMPERATURE OF 39 DEGREES WAS THE LAST TIME THE
TEMPERATURE WAS BELOW 40 DEGREES FOR THE SEASON.

APRIL 26...THE HIGH TEMPERATURE OF 68 DEGREES WAS THE LAST TIME THE
HIGH TEMPERATURE WAS BELOW 70 DEGREES FOR THE SEASON.

APRIL 27...THE LOW TEMPERATURE OF 47 DEGREES WAS THE LAST TIME THE
TEMPERATURE WAS BELOW 50 DEGREES FOR THE SEASON.

MAY...IT WAS THE WARMEST MAY SINCE 1998 AND IT TIED 1881 AND 1886
FOR THE 13TH TO WARMEST MAY ON RECORD. IT WAS THE FIFTH STRAIGHT
YEAR THAT MAY AVERAGED OVER 70.0 DEGREES AND THE SECOND STRAIGHT
YEAR THAT MAY WAS ABOVE NORMAL ON TEMPERATURE. THE AVERAGE HIGH
TEMPERATURE WAS THE WARMEST FOR MAY SINCE 1998 AND WAS THE 11TH TO
WARMEST ON RECORD. THE AVERAGE LOW TEMPERATURE WAS THE WARMEST FOR
MAY SINCE 1998 AND TIED 1886 AND 1936 FOR THE 18TH TO WARMEST ON
RECORD. IT WAS THE 5TH STRAIGHT YEAR THAT MAY WAS BELOW NORMAL ON
RAINFALL.

MAY 6...THE TEMPERATURE REACHED 90 DEGREES FOR THE FIRST TIME FOR
THE YEAR.

MAY 9...THE HIGH TEMPERATURE OF 90 DEGREES BROKE THE RECORD HIGH
TEMPERATURE FOR THE DATE. THE PREVIOUS RECORD WAS 89 DEGREES SET IN
1887 AND TIED IN 1889 AND 2003.

MAY 21...THE LOW TEMPERATURE OF 59 DEGREES WAS THE LAST TIME THE LOW
TEMPERATURE WAS BELOW 60 DEGREES FOR THE SEASON.

JUNE...IT WAS THE WARMEST JUNE SINCE 1998 AND THE 19TH TO WARMEST
JUNE ON RECORD. IT WAS THE THIRD STRAIGHT YEAR THAT JUNE WAS ABOVE
NORMAL ON TEMPERATURE AND THE AVERAGE HIGH TEMPERATURE FOR JUNE WAS
90.0 DEGREES OR HIGHER. THE 22 DAYS WITH HIGH TEMPERATURES OF 90
DEGREES OR HIGHER WAS THE MOST FOR JUNE SINCE 1998 AS WERE THE 20
DAYS WITH LOW TEMPERATURES OF 70 DEGREES OR HIGHER. IT WAS THE
DRIEST JUNE SINCE 1995 AND THE THIRD STRAIGHT YEAR THAT JUNE WAS
BELOW NORMAL ON RAINFALL. THE 8 DAYS OF MEASURABLE RAINFALL WERE THE
MOST FOR JUNE SINCE 2004.

JUNE 8...THE LOW TEMPERATURE OF 76 DEGREES TIED THE RECORD FOR THE
HIGHEST MINIMUM FOR THE DATE WHICH WAS FIRST SET IN 1924 AND WAS
TIED IN 1979 AND 1993.

JULY...IT WAS THE COOLEST JULY SINCE 2004 AND THE AVERAGE HIGH
TEMPERATURE WAS BELOW 90.0 DEGREES FOR THE FIRST TIME SINCE 2004 AND
THE 42ND TIME IN 129 YEARS. THE 13 DAYS OF 90 DEGREE TEMPERATURES
WERE THE FEWEST FOR JULY SINCE 1989. IT WAS THE 4TH OUT OF THE LAST
FIVE JULYS TO BE BELOW NORMAL ON RAINFALL AND THE 4TH OUT OF THE
LAST 10 YEARS THAT THERE WAS AT LEAST THREE INCHES OF RAIN DURING
JULY.

JULY 13...THE HIGH TEMPERATURE OF 78 DEGREES WAS THE FIRST HIGH
TEMPERATURE BELOW 80 DEGREES IN JULY SINCE JULY 6 2005.

AUGUST...IT TIED 1954 FOR THE HOTTEST AUGUST ON RECORD AND WAS THE
HOTTEST MONTH OVERALL SINCE JULY 1998. THE AVERAGE HIGH TEMPERATURE
WAS THE HIGHEST FOR AUGUST SINCE 2000 AND WAS THE 4TH TO HOTTEST
EVER FOR AUGUST. IT WAS THE HIGHEST AVERAGE HIGH TEMPERATURE FOR
ANY MONTH SINCE AUGUST 2000. THE AVERAGE LOW TEMPERATURE FOR AUGUST
WAS THE HIGHEST FOR AUGUST SINCE 1881 AND WAS THE SECOND TO WARMEST
ON RECORD. IT WAS THE HIGHEST AVERAGE LOW TEMPERATURE FOR ANY MONTH
SINCE JULY 1998. IT WAS THE FIRST TIME SINCE AUGUST 2000 THAT THE
HIGH TEMPERATURE REACHED AT LEAST 90 DEGREES EACH DAY DURING AUGUST
AND IN ANY MONTH. THE 12 DAYS WITH HIGH TEMPERATURES OF 100 DEGREES
OR HIGHER WERE THE MOST FOR AUGUST OR ANY MONTH SINCE AUGUST 2000.
THE TEMPERATURE DID NOT DROP BELOW 70 DEGREES DURING AUGUST FOR THE
FIRST TIME SINCE 1947 AND THE FIRST TIME IN ANY MONTH SINCE JULY
1998. TEMPERATURES AVERAGED ABOVE NORMAL ON ALL DAYS DURING THE
MONTH. IT WAS THE DRIEST AUGUST SINCE 2000 AND THE 3RD TO DRIEST
AUGUST ON RECORD. IT WAS THE SECOND STRAIGHT YEAR THAT AUGUST WAS
BELOW NORMAL ON RAINFALL.

AUGUST 9...THE TEMPERATURE REACHED 100 DEGREES FOR THE FIRST TIME
FOR THE YEAR.

AUGUST 10...THE LOW TEMPERATURE OF 80 DEGREES BROKE THE RECORD FOR
THE HIGHEST MINIMUM TEMPERATURE FOR THE DATE. THE PREVIOUS RECORD
WAS 79 DEGREES SET IN 1885 AND TIED IN 1911 AND 1934. IT WAS ALSO
THE HIGHEST MINIMUM TEMPERATURE FOR THE YEAR.

AUGUST 12...THE HIGH TEMPERATURE OF 106 DEGREES BROKE THE RECORD
HIGH TEMPERATURE FOR THE DATE. THE PREVIOUS RECORD WAS 104 DEGREES
SET IN 1980. IT WAS THE HIGHEST TEMPERATURE OF THE YEAR.

AUGUST 14...THE HIGH TEMPERATURE OF 104 DEGREES BROKE THE RECORD
HIGH TEMPERATURE FOR THE DATE. THE PREVIOUS RECORD WAS 103 DEGREES
SET IN 1954. THE LOW TEMPERATURE OF 79 DEGREES TIED THE RECORD FOR
THE HIGHEST MINIMUM TEMPERATURE FOR THE DATE WHICH WAS FIRST SET IN
1881.

AUGUST 15...THE HIGH TEMPERATURE OF 104 DEGREES TIED THE RECORD HIGH
TEMPERATURE FOR THE DATE WHICH WAS FIRST SET IN 1943 AND TIED IN
1954.

AUGUST 18...THE LOW TEMPERATURE OF 79 DEGREES TIED THE RECORD FOR
THE HIGHEST MINIMUM TEMPERATURE FOR THE DATE WHICH WAS FIRST SET IN
1909 AND WAS TIED IN 1995.

AUGUST 27...THE HIGH TEMPERATURE OF 100 DEGREES WAS THE LAST TIME
THE TEMPERATURE REACHED 100 DEGREES FOR THE YEAR.

SEPTEMBER...IT WAS THE THIRD TIME IN THE LAST FOUR YEARS THAT
SEPTEMBER AVERAGED ABOVE NORMAL ON TEMPERATURE. IT TIED 1904 AND
1986 FOR THE 24TH TO WARMEST ON RECORD. THE 7 DAYS WITH HIGH
TEMPERATURES OF 90 DEGREES OR HIGHER AND 2 DAYS WITH HIGH
TEMPERATURES BELOW 80 DEGREES WERE EACH THE FEWEST FOR SEPTEMBER
SINCE 2004. IT WAS THE WETTEST SEPTEMBER SINCE 1996 AND THE SECOND
STRAIGHT YEAR THAT SEPTEMBER WAS ABOVE NORMAL ON RAINFALL.

SEPTEMBER 5...THE RAINFALL OF 2.47 INCHES BROKE THE RECORD FOR THE
MOST RAINFALL ON THE DATE. THE PREVIOUS RECORD WAS 1.63 INCHES SET
IN 1973. IT WAS ALSO THE FIRST DAY SINCE JULY 25 TO AVERAGE BELOW
NORMAL ON TEMPERATURE.

SEPTEMBER 12...THE LOW TEMPERATURE OF 58 DEGREES WAS THE FIRST TIME
THE TEMPERATURE FELL BELOW 60 DEGREES FOR THE SEASON.

SEPTEMBER 14...THE HIGH TEMPERATURE OF 90 DEGREES WAS THE LAST TIME
THE TEMPERATURE REACHED 90 DEGREES FOR THE YEAR. IT WAS THE EARLIEST
DATE FOR THE LAST 90 DEGREE TEMPERATURE FOR A YEAR SINCE 2001.

SEPTEMBER 24...THE LOW TEMPERATURE OF 74 DEGREES TIED THE RECORD FOR
THE HIGHEST MINIMUM TEMPERATURE FOR THE DATE WHICH WAS FIRST SET IN
1900 AND TIED IN 1926.

OCTOBER...IT WAS THE WARMEST OCTOBER SINCE 2004 AND THE 4TH OUT OF
THE LAST FIVE YEARS FOR OCTOBER TO AVERAGE ABOVE NORMAL ON
TEMPERATURE. THE AVERAGE LOW TEMPERATURE TIED 1899 FOR THE 23RD TO
WARMEST ON RECORD. IT WAS THE FIRST TIME SINCE 2004 THE TEMPERATURE
DID NOT REACH 90 DEGREES DURING OCTOBER BUT THE 15 DAYS WITH HIGH
TEMPERATURES OF 80 DEGREES OR HIGHER WAS THE MOST FOR OCTOBER SINCE
2000. THE 6 DAYS WITH LOW TEMPERATURES OF 70 DEGREES OR HIGHER TIED
1941 FOR THE MOST LOW TEMPERATURES OF 70 DEGREES OR HIGHER IN
OCTOBER. IT WAS THE WETTEST OCTOBER SINCE 2004 AND THE FIRST TIME
SINCE THEN OCTOBER WAS ABOVE NORMAL ON RAINFALL. IT WAS THE 12TH TO
WETTEST OCTOBER ON RECORD.

OCTOBER 12...THE LOW TEMPERATURE OF 49 DEGREES WAS THE FIRST TIME
THE TEMPERATURE WAS BELOW 50 DEGREES FOR THE SEASON.

OCTOBER 15...THE HIGH TEMPERATURE OF 65 DEGREES WAS THE FIRST HIGH
TEMPERATURE BELOW 70 DEGREES FOR THE SEASON AND SINCE APRIL 26.

OCTOBER 23...THE HIGH TEMPERATURE OF 52 DEGREES WAS THE FIRST HIGH
TEMPERATURE BELOW 60 DEGREES FOR THE SEASON.

NOVEMBER...IT WAS THE FIFTH STRAIGHT YEAR THAT NOVEMBER WAS ABOVE
NORMAL ON TEMPERATURE. IT WAS THE 6TH STRAIGHT YEAR THE TEMPERATURE
REACHED 80 DEGREES DURING NOVEMBER. THE 5 DAYS WITH LOW TEMPERATURES
BELOW 50 DEGREES WAS THE MOST FOR NOVEMBER SINCE 1997. IT WAS THE
DRIEST NOVEMBER SINCE 2002 AND THE SECOND TIME IN THE LAST THREE
YEARS THAT NOVEMBER WAS BELOW NORMAL ON RAINFALL.

NOVEMBER 7...THE LOW TEMPERATURE OF 35 DEGREES WAS THE FIRST
TEMPERATURE BELOW 40 DEGREES FOR THE SEASON.

NOVEMBER 11...THE HIGH TEMPERATURE OF 80 DEGREES WAS THE LAST TIME
THE TEMPERATURE REACHED 80 DEGREES FOR THE YEAR.

NOVEMBER 16...THE LOW TEMPERATURE OF 32 DEGREES WAS THE FIRST FREEZE
OF THE SEASON. THAT ENDED A PERIOD OF 221 DAYS WITH TEMPERATURES
ABOVE FREEZING. THIS WAS THE SHORTEST FREEZE FREE PERIOD DURING A
YEAR SINCE 1992.

NOVEMBER 23...THE HIGH TEMPERATURE OF 45 DEGREES WAS THE FIRST HIGH
TEMPERATURE BELOW 50 DEGREES FOR THE SEASON.

DECEMBER...IT WAS THE SECOND STRAIGHT YEAR THAT DECEMBER WAS ABOVE
NORMAL ON TEMPERATURE. THE AVERAGE HIGH TEMPERATURE WAS ABOVE NORMAL
FOR THE 7TH STRAIGHT YEAR IN DECEMBER. IT WAS THE THIRD STRAIGHT
YEAR THE TEMPERATURE HAS REACHED 70 DEGREES DURING DECEMBER. THE 9
DAYS WITH HIGH TEMPERATURES OF 60 DEGREES OR HIGHER WERE THE FEWEST
FOR DECEMBER SINCE 2002. THERE WERE NO HIGH TEMPERATURES BELOW 40
DEGREES IN DECEMBER FOR THE FIRST TIME SINCE 1993. IT WAS THE SECOND
STRAIGHT YEAR THAT DECEMBER WAS ABOVE NORMAL ON RAINFALL AND HAD
MORE THAN FIVE INCHES OF RAIN. THE 13 DAYS OF MEASURABLE RAINFALL
WERE THE MOST FOR DECEMBER SINCE 2002.


DECEMBER 9...THE HIGH TEMPERATURE OF 77 DEGREES BROKE THE RECORD
HIGH TEMPERATURE FOR THE DATE. THE PREVIOUS RECORD WAS 74 DEGREES
SET IN 1952.

DECEMBER 10...THE RANGE OF 3 DEGREES BETWEEN THE HIGH AND LOW
TEMPERATURE FOR THE DAY (48/45) WAS THE SMALLEST RANGE BETWEEN THE
HIGH AND LOW TEMPERATURE FOR A DAY DURING THE YEAR.

DECEMBER 11...THE HIGH TEMPERATURE OF 72 DEGREES WAS THE LAST TIME
THE TEMPERATURE REACHED 70 DEGREES FOR THE YEAR.

DECEMBER 26...A TRACE OF SLEET FELL WHICH OFFICIALLY COUNTS AS THE
