THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR THE EXTREME SOUTHERN TEXAS
PANHANDLE...SOUTH PLAINS AND ROLLING PLAINS.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

VERY WARM...DRY AND BREEZY CONDITIONS WILL RESULT IN A HIGH FIRE
DANGER ACROSS THE SOUTH PLAINS AREA THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING.
THE MOST CRITICAL CONDITIONS WILL BE LOCATED ACROSS THE EASTERN
SOUTH PLAINS AND ROLLING PLAINS...WHERE A RED FLAG WARNING IS IN
EFFECT FROM 1 PM TO 9 PM. A FIRE DANGER STATEMENT IS IN
EFFECT FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE SOUTH PLAINS AREA FOR THE SAME
PERIOD. LATE THIS AFTERNOON...A STRONG COLD FRONT WILL MOVE INTO
THE AREA FROM THE NORTH. THIS FRONT WILL BRING GUSTY NORTHERLY
WINDS SUSTAINED AROUND 25 TO 35 MPH...AND GUSTS TO NEAR 50 MPH.
PATCHY BLOWING DUST IS ALSO EXPECTED WITH THE PASSAGE OF THE
FRONT.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH TUESDAY

THE THREAT OF WIDESPREAD HAZARDOUS WEATHER IS LOW.
