THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR THE EXTREME SOUTHERN TEXAS
PANHANDLE...SOUTH PLAINS AND ROLLING PLAINS.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

CONVECTIVE

THUNDERSTORM ACTIVITY ACROSS THE SOUTHERN TEXAS PANHANDLE AND
ADJACENT PORTIONS OF THE SOUTH PLAINS AND ROLLING PLAINS MAY
BRIEFLY BECOME STRONG TO MARGINALLY SEVERE THIS AFTERNOON AND
EARLY EVENING. THE PRIMARY THREATS WILL BE WIND GUSTS TO 50 MPH
AND HAIL TO THE SIZE OF QUARTERS.

FLOODING

MULTIPLE ROUNDS OF ADDITIONAL RAINFALL ARE EXPECTED ACROSS THE
SOUTH PLAINS THIS AFTERNOON INTO TONIGHT...WITH BRIEF PERIODS OF
HEAVY RAINFALL POSSIBLE. THIS COMBINED WITH SATURATED GROUNDS WILL
MAINTAIN THE THREAT FOR FLOODING FROM POINTS BETWEEN DENVER CITY
AND PLAINS TO POST. A FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR THESE
LOCATIONS THROUGH 7 PM THIS EVENING.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...MONDAY THROUGH SATURDAY

MODERATE TO HEAVY RAINFALL WILL BE POSSIBLE ACROSS THE WESTERN SOUTH
PLAINS NEAR THE NEW MEXICO STATE LINE INTO EARLY MONDAY BEFORE
SHIFTING EASTWARD ACROSS ALL OF THE SOUTH PLAINS THROUGH
WEDNESDAY. A FEW STORMS MAY BRIEFLY BECOME STRONG TO POSSIBLY
SEVERE TUESDAY AND MORE-SO ON WEDNESDAY.
