THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR THE EXTREME SOUTHERN TEXAS
PANHANDLE...SOUTH PLAINS AND ROLLING PLAINS.

.DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT

CONVECTIVE
ISOLATED SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS ARE POSSIBLE LATE THIS AFTERNOON
AND EVENING. THE HIGHEST THREAT AREA WILL BE ACROSS THE WESTERN
SOUTH PLAINS INTO THE FAR SOUTHERN TEXAS PANHANDLE...GENERALLY
NORTH AND WEST OF A LINE FROM MORTON TO SILVERTON. LARGE HAIL UP
TO GOLF-BALL SIZE AND WIND GUSTS TO 65 MPH WILL BE PRIMARY THREATS
FROM THE STORMS.

FLOODING
THERE IS A RISK FOR THREE INCHES OR MORE OF RAIN FALLING IN
ISOLATED POCKETS OVER THE SOUTHEAST PANHANDLE AREA THIS EVENING
THROUGH THURSDAY MORNING. FLOODING MAY RESULT IN POOR DRAINAGE AREAS AND
NEAR THE STEEP TERRAIN ALONG THE CAPROCK ESCARPMENT. A FLASH FLOOD
WATCH IS IN EFFECT FOR THE FAR SOUTHERN TEXAS
PANHANDLE...GENERALLY ALONG AND EAST OF INTERSTATE 27.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH TUESDAY
SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS MAY CONTINUE THE THREAT FOR HEAVY RAIN AND
FLOODING FROM THE FAR SOUTHEASTERN TEXAS PANHANDLE INTO THE
ROLLING PLAINS THURSDAY MORNING INTO THE AFTERNOON. OTHERWISE...THE
THREAT OF WIDESPREAD HAZARDOUS WEATHER IS LOW.
