THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR THE EXTREME SOUTHERN TEXAS
PANHANDLE...SOUTH PLAINS AND ROLLING PLAINS.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

SCATTERED TO NUMEROUS THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED TO DEVELOP LATER
TODAY AND TONIGHT. THESE STORMS WILL BRING AN INITIAL SLIGHT RISK
FOR SEVERE WEATHER FOR MUCH OF THE AREA...BEFORE TRANSITIONING TO
A RISK FOR FLASH FLOODING MAINLY ACROSS THE SOUTHEAST TEXAS
PANHANDLE LASTING THROUGH THE NIGHT. THE EARLY SEVERE WEATHER
THREAT WILL INCLUDE LARGE HAIL AND DAMAGING WINDS...WHILE ISOLATED
BRIEF TORNADOES ALSO WILL BE POSSIBLE. THE FLASH FLOOD THREAT
INVOLVES A RISK FOR THREE INCHES OR MORE OF RAIN FALLING IN
ISOLATED POCKETS OVER THE SOUTHEAST PANHANDLE AREA. FLOODING MAY
RESULT IN POOR DRAINAGE AREAS AND NEAR THE STEEP TERRAIN ALONG THE
CAPROCK ESCARPMENT.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH TUESDAY

SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS MAY CONTINUE THE THREAT FOR HEAVY RAIN AND
FLOODING FROM THE FAR SOUTHEASTERN TEXAS PANHANDLE INTO THE
ROLLING PLAINS THURSDAY MORNING INTO THE AFTERNOON. OTHERWISE...THE
THREAT OF WIDESPREAD HAZARDOUS WEATHER IS LOW.
