THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR THE EXTREME SOUTHERN TEXAS
PANHANDLE...SOUTH PLAINS AND ROLLING PLAINS.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT
SUSTAINED NORTHERLY WINDS OF 20 TO 30 MPH...PERHAPS A BIT STRONGER
FOR A BRIEF PERIOD AROUND MIDDAY...WILL OVERSPREAD THE SOUTH PLAINS
REGION BEHIND A COLD FRONT. PATCHY BLOWING DUST WILL BE
POSSIBLE...ESPECIALLY DOWNWIND OF OPEN FIELDS. IN ADDITION...WARM
AND RELATIVELY DRY CONDITIONS WILL COMBINE WITH THE GUSTY WINDS TO
CREATE A PERIOD OF ELEVATED TO BRIEFLY CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER FOR THE
ENTIRE AREA FROM LATE THIS MORNING THROUGH EARLY THIS EVENING.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...MONDAY THROUGH SATURDAY
A POTENTIAL FOR STRONG OR SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS MAY DEVELOP ON
TUESDAY...MAINLY IN THE ROLLING PLAINS. ALSO...ELEVATED TO
CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS ARE POSSIBLE WEDNESDAY AND
THURSDAY.
