THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR THE EXTREME SOUTHERN TEXAS
PANHANDLE...SOUTH PLAINS AND ROLLING PLAINS.

.DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT

FLOODING

PERIODS OF HEAVY RAINFALL WILL BE POSSIBLE ACROSS THE SOUTH PLAINS
TONIGHT INTO SATURDAY AS ABUNDANT MOISTURE REMAINS IN PLACE AHEAD
OF A WEAK UPPER LEVEL DISTURBANCE OF TROPICAL ORIGIN. THE HEAVY
RAIN WILL LEAD TO POTENTIAL FLOODING. POCKETS OF FLASH FLOODING
MAY ALSO OCCUR WITH THE HEAVIEST RAINFALL...ESPECIALLY IN AREAS
MOST PRONE TO RAPID RUNOFF INCLUDING NEAR AND ALONG THE CAPROCK
ESCARPMENT. A FLOOD WATCH IS IN EFFECT FOR THE ENTIRE FAR SOUTHERN
PANHANDLE...SOUTH PLAINS...AND ROLLING PLAINS INTO SATURDAY
EVENING.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SATURDAY THROUGH THURSDAY

THE RISK OF HEAVY RAINFALL AND POTENTIAL FLOODING WILL CONTINUE
THROUGH SATURDAY.
