THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR THE EXTREME SOUTHERN TEXAS
PANHANDLE...SOUTH PLAINS AND ROLLING PLAINS.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

WINTER WEATHER

ANOTHER VERY COLD ARCTIC AIRMASS WILL MOVE INTO THE REGION
TONIGHT AND THURSDAY WITH LIGHT SNOW CHANCES DEVELOPING MAINLY
OVER THE WESTERN SOUTH PLAINS AND SOUTHWEST PANHANDLE LATE TONIGHT
AND EARLY THURSDAY. SNOW ACCUMULATIONS UP TO AROUND AN INCH WILL
BE POSSIBLE ACROSS THE SOUTHWESTERN TEXAS PANHANDLE...WITH LIGHTER
AMOUNTS FURTHER TO SOUTH AND EAST.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH TUESDAY

EVEN COLDER AIR WILL BUILD INTO THE REGION THURSDAY NIGHT WITH
WIND CHILL READINGS DROPPING TO NEAR OR BELOW ZERO LATE THURSDAY
NIGHT AND EARLY FRIDAY. IN ADDITION...SNOW CHANCES WILL IMPROVE
AGAIN LATE THURSDAY NIGHT INTO FRIDAY...WITH ACCUMULATING SNOWS OF
1 TO 3 INCHES POSSIBLE FOR MUCH OF THE AREA. LIGHT WINTRY
PRECIPITATION MAY PERSIST INTO SATURDAY BEFORE TEMPERATURES
MODERATE.
