THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR THE EXTREME SOUTHERN TEXAS
PANHANDLE...SOUTH PLAINS AND ROLLING PLAINS.

.DAY ONE...TONIGHT

FLOODING

A THUNDERSTORM COMPLEX OR TWO IS EXPECTED TO MOVE ACROSS THE
SOUTH-CENTRAL AND SOUTHEAST TEXAS PANHANDLE LATE TONIGHT THROUGH
EARLY THURSDAY MORNING. THIS AREA OF THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE CAPABLE
OF PRODUCING VERY HEAVY RAIN WITH RAIN TOTALS OF 1 TO 3 INCHES OR
MORE THROUGH THURSDAY MORNING. FLOODING MAY RESULT IN POOR
DRAINAGE AREAS AND NEAR THE STEEP TERRAIN ALONG THE CAPROCK
ESCARPMENT. A FLASH FLOOD WATCH IS IN EFFECT FOR THE FAR SOUTHERN
TEXAS PANHANDLE...GENERALLY ALONG AND EAST OF INTERSTATE 27. MORE
ISOLATED TO SCATTERED THUNDERSTORM ACTIVITY WILL BE POSSIBLE OVER
THE REMAINDER OF THE AREA...THOUGH IT WILL ALSO BRING THE RISK OF
LOCALLY HEAVY RAIN. IN ADDITION...AN ISOLATED STRONG OR SEVERE
STORM WILL BE POSSIBLE THROUGH LATE TONIGHT.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH TUESDAY

SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS MAY CONTINUE THE THREAT FOR HEAVY RAIN AND
FLOODING FROM THE FAR SOUTHEASTERN TEXAS PANHANDLE INTO THE
ROLLING PLAINS THURSDAY MORNING...PERHAPS LINGERING INTO THURSDAY
THE AFTERNOON. OTHERWISE...THE THREAT OF WIDESPREAD HAZARDOUS
WEATHER IS LOW.
