The NWS Weather Forecast Office (WFO) participated in the Kent County Safety and Health Fair in Jayton, TX on October 30, 2007. Approximately 250 students participated in the fair, sponsored by the Kent County Cooperative Extension Office. This year’s theme was “Fall for Health and Safety”.

Students learned about tornado and thunderstorm safety, and received Halloween candy from Jody James and Shawn Ellis, forecasters from the National Weather Service Forecast Office (WFO) in Lubbock.
