2010 SKYWARNTM Recognition Day

6 PM CDT December 3rd to 6pm December 4th

SKYWARNTM Recognition Day was developed in 1999 by the National Weather Service and the American Radio Relay League. It celebrates the contributions that volunteer SKYWARNTM radio operators make to the National Weather Service. During the day SKYWARNTM operators visit NWS offices and contact other radio operators across the world.

 
EVENT NEWS:
  • Congratutions to all the participants for another successful SRD. Despite poor band conditions, people still had fun operating various modes.
  • Participants included personnel from the National Weather Service Forecast Office in Lubbock, the South Plains Storm Spotting Team, and Texas Tech University
  • 57 contacts were made.
