Service Hydrologist Workshop

Service Hydrologist Workshop

From July 21 - 23, 1998 the Lower Mississippi River Forecast Center hosted a workshop for all of the Service Hydrologists and Hydro Focal Points that we work with. Of the 18 Weather Forecast Offices offices that we service, representatives from 12 offices were able to attend. The attendees learned about LMRFC operations, future projects, and how AWIPS is used by an RFC, just to name a few of the many topics covered. Also, the staff of the LMRFC was able to learn about each of the Service Hydrologist/Hydro Focal Point's unique responsibilities at their office. The workshop was a great success and will hopefully be repeated in the future.
