State and Regional Hourly Weather Roundup Hourly Weather Roundups are a collection of official weather observations taken in Louisiana or Mississippi. Most observations are taken around 53 minutes after each hour.
Hourly Observations Below are hourly surface weather observations for the past 2 days. These observations have been decoded from the METAR observations so the public can easily interpret them. The observations also gives the high and low temperatures and rainfall for specific 6 hour periods. Additional Reports
METAR Observations Meteorological Aviation Routine Weather Reports(METAR) observations are coded weather observations taken at selected airports across the country. Many observations are now taken by totally automated sensors. The cloud detection sensor does not report clouds above 12,000 ft. Observations are taken around 53 minutes after each hour, and a special (speci) observation is taken whenever certain criteria is met. |
