Tornadoes Impact Southeast Louisiana and Coastal Mississippi March 9, 2011

A strong upper level disturbance brought a line of severe thunderstorms containing tornadoes and damaging straight line winds to Southeast Louisiana and Coastal Mississippi during the morning hours on March 9th.

At this time, 7 tornadoes have been confirmed from this event. These tornadoes have been determined to range in strength from EF0 to EF2 after NWS storm surveys were conducted.
