Tornado Damage:

The Perry tornado originated west of town near the intersection of Highways 35 and 335. Moving east at 40 mph, the tornado damaged several homes along the Vermilion River just north of Perry and dissipated near the Abbeville Municipal Airport. The worst damage occurred at a convenience store, south of Abbeville, where portions of the roof were blown off.
