The National Weather Service in Lake Charles held an Open House for emergency management officials, government officials, members of the media, SKYWARN & ham radio spotters, military personnel, & various others on Leap Year Day 2008.  Around 45 attendees visited with the NWS Lake Charles staff, learned about the various programs and technology that the National Weather Service offers, and viewed various experiments such as Donovan Landreneau's Hurricane Machine.  NWS Lake Charles would like to thank all the attendees for coming!
