Tropical Events DVD Catalog

NWS Lake Charles Journeyman Forecaster Donovan Landreneau has created a collection of video DVDs that show satellite and radar imagery movies of tropical cyclones that affected the United States over past years.  Included in the catalog are hurricane events that impacted the NWS Lake Charles county warning area, including Hurricane Audrey in 1957 and Hurricane Lili in 2002.   

All of the weather events in the catalog were recorded on general purpose DVD‑Rs, and play just like a movie DVD on most home computers and dvd players.  However, there is no sound on these DVDs - so don’t bother adjusting your volume controls!

Copies of these DVDs can be made for interested parties, schools, and the general public.  To obtain a copy of these movies, go to the NWS Lake Charles website and link to the Tropical section.
