Updated Preliminary Rainfall Totals

Compiled by Donovan Landreneau, Forecaster

Rainfall for November, 2006 was a complete 180° turn from the excessive rainfall experienced during October, 2006. Most stations reported less than 50% of the normal rainfall (based on 1971-2000 normals); as compared to October's total rainfall falling between the 200 to 600% of normal bracket.

The following tables are compiled from the Automatic Surface Observing System (ASOS) and Cooperative Observer network within the National Weather Service Lake Charles area of responsibility, using data obtained from NOAA's Regional Climate Center xmACIS.

Rainfall graphics were obtained from the Lower Mississippi River Forecast Center's Precipitation Analysis product.
