Rainfall for December, 2006 was quite variable across
the region, with most of the month's rainfall falling within the
last two weeks. A significant storm system between Christmas and New
Years Day accounted for significant rainfall amounts and subsequent
flooding across portions of Southeast Texas and Southern Louisiana,
accounting for the variability in rainfall.
