Skywatcher Chart
High Stratocumulus. Higher layer of clumpy clouds, sometimes mixed with cumulus. Rain or snow rarely fall from these clouds and they are different from altocumulus clouds as their individual elements are larger than altocumulus.
Stratocumulus with winds from the north means clearing skies and cool conditions, from the east can mean stormy weather, from the south, showers, and from the west, clearing skies.
