The new Bullet Style format allows critical information to stand out in a standard sequential fashion on individual lines...separated by a blank line. The new appearance makes it easier to review and read the warning quickly.

    The Short-Fuse Warning products affected are:
  • Severe Thunderstorm Warning(JANSVRJAN)
  • Tornado Warning(JANTORJAN)
  • Flash Flood Warning(JANFFWJAN)

Contents of the warnings will remain the same...only the appearance will change.

    In order of appearance...bullets will contain the following information:

  • Type of warning and location of area warned.
  • Valid Time
  • Time of event...basis for warning...movement
  • pathcast/optional/

  • AT 515 PM CDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM 5 MILES WEST OF EDWARDS...MOVING TO THE EAST AT 20 MPH.

  • THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WILL BE NEAR
    CLINTON AT 520 PM CDT
    JACKSON AT 525 PM CDT

HAIL TO 2 INCHES IN DIAMETER AND WIND GUSTS TO 70 MPH ARE LIKELY. PERSONS IN OR NEAR THESE AREAS SHOULD TAKE SHELTER IN A STRONG BUILDING AWAY FROM WINDOWS.
