Richland, Mississippi becomes Storm Ready
On May 6th the City of Richland, Mississippi became the 6th Storm Ready
Community in Mississippi. At a ceremony at City Hall National Weather
Service Warning Coordination Meteorologist, Jim Butch, presented
Richland City Mayor Shirley Hall with their community's Storm Ready
Certificate and Storm Ready Road signs. The city of Richland has made
great progress in area of emergency preparedness. By becoming Storm
ready it says to the citizens of Richland that their city government is
doing all it can to protect their lives and property.
