Our OCTOBER WINNER occurred just west of Lasalle Parish in Louisiana in the evening of 17th about 720pm. Rather impressive 60+dBz returns extended up to 20,000 feet while VILs peaked at 64 kg/m*m and Echo Tops 54,000 feet. This large storm moved northeastward on the edge of our effective Radar Umbrella range(124nm) and weakened somewhat by the time it reached western Franklin Parish, mainly due to loss of daytime heating.
