Here's our MAY WINNER that occurred in Attala County on the evening of the 14th. This storm returned very intense reflectivity images but was most impressive in its duration with our Probability of Severe Hail algorithm hitting 100% for a solid 1 hour and 45 minutes! The persistent echo returns of 65 dBz during this time frame appeared to peak about 500pm with Hail Size estimated at 4 inches or greater. The attending MESO that was identified with the storm reached a depth of 15,000 feet and registered Shear Values at the 0.5 degree elevation slice of 29 E-3/s over a 0.7nm diameter. This Supercell produced at least golfball sized hail and a F1 tornado damaging a school in McAdams as it moved in a southeastward direction at about 30 mph.
