Here's our JUNE WINNER that occurred in Ashley County Arkansas on the evening of the 28th. This storm was supported by the persistent band of westerly upper level winds that kept June quite wet and rather cool. With VILS pushing 75 kg/m*m packed all below 56,000 feet, this storm was typical of the arrival of the summertime convective season. A broad circulation detected within the storm also helped it stand out as indicated by the red/green pixel combination in the lower left panel of the first image below. At least nickel size hail was reported from a weaker part of the storm.
