Here's our JULY WINNER that occurred in Holmes County almost straight north of the radar site on the evening of the 4th. This storm was an unusual out-of-season supercell complete with 35kts of Rotational Velocity in a 2.8nm diameter at about 8500 feet above the surface. While the VILS of 59 kg/m*m or so were not that impressive for July, the tops in the low 50s created a fairly compact VIL density. The rotation and compactness of this storm eventually won out as we had a number of taller and more intense precipitation cores during this month.
