April 6, 2003 - North Jackson tornado

At 730 pm, a tornado touched down 8 miles W of Tougaloo, stayed on the ground for 5 miles. This tornado blew the roofs off of 2 homes, and caused minor roof damage to 10 other homes.. Two minor injuries were reported with people in the most damaged homes. As this tornado moved east, it knocked down numerous trees. As a result of fallen trees, 30 to 40 additional homes sustained damage, mainly to roofs. This tornado was rated F1.
This tornado also had a large amount of straight line wind damage associated with the rear flank downdraft, which downed trees nearly 1 mile south of the track.
