April 6, 2003 - North Jackson tornado

At 737 pm, a 3/4 mile wide tornado touched down 4 miles SE of Caseyville and stayed on the ground for 9 miles before dissipating 3 miles WSW of Wesson. This tornado caused numerous homes to have minor damage along with a few homes sustaining major damage. Six people were treated for minor injuries. This tornado was rated F2.
This tornado also had a large area of straight line wind damage associated with it. This wind damage was caused by a macroburst and was 1 to 3 miles wide, south of the tornado track.
