Aviation Terminal Forecasts

The Terminal Tafs are issued 4 times daily for the next 24 hours for 5 airports in Mississippi. The airports for which the Jackson office issues Tafs are: Greenwood, Greenville, Jackson International, Meridian, and Pine Belt (Hattiesburg-Laurel. The times are 00z-24z...06-06z...12-12z...and 18-18z.

The forecasts are a sequential list of expected weather conditions at the airports for the next 24 hours. Expected ceilings, visibilities, winds, and weather (thunderstorms, rain, snow, fog, etc.) are forecast. The Tafs are used by all aviation interests to plan flight operations in the vicinity of the airports.
