THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN JACKSON HAS ISSUED A TORNADO WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 815 PM CDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...

IN CENTRAL MISSISSIPPI

...CHOCTAW COUNTY

THIS WARNING REPLACES THE EARLIER WARNING FOR NORTHERN CHOCTAW COUNTY...AND A TORNADO WARNING IS NOW IN EFFECT FOR THE
ENTIRE COUNTY UNTIL 815 PM.

AT 728 PM DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A TORNADO ABOUT 8 MILES NORTHWEST OF ACKERMAN. THIS TORNADO WAS MOVING EAST NORTHEAST
AT 45 MPH AND WILL EFFECT MUCH OF NORTHERN CHOCTAW THROUGH 815 PM.

IN ADDITION...THE LARGE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM ASSOCIATED WITH THIS TORNADO WILL EFFECT THE REMAINDER OF CHOCTAW COUNTY...
INCLUDING THE ACKERMAN AREA. THIS STORM WILL PRODUCE LARGE HAIL UP TO 2 AND HALF INCHES IN DIAMETER AND DAMAGING WINDS.

THIS IS A DANGEROUS STORM. MOVE QUICKLY TO UNDERGROUND SHELTER IF AVAILABLE. OTHERWISE...GO TO AN INTERIOR ROOM ON THE LOWEST
FLOOR. AVOID WINDOWS. LEAVE CARS AND MOBILE HOMES FOR A STURDY BUILDING.
