Figure 17. This is a loop of composite reflectivity and storm total precipitation (STP) from 2242 UTC 6 April 2003 until 1042 UTC 6 April 2003 (every 1.5 hrs) from  KDGX. The loop shows the evolution of the second longer-lived MCS and the resulting rainfall pattern. Notice that the initial STP image indicates rainfall from the earlier MCS.
