NEXRAD Doppler Radar is our greatest tool during
severe weather. A full suite of products
is produced: products that don't just show
rain, but show wind velocity, liquid water content,
and estimated precipitation accumulation. Links
to some of our other radar products are available
once you select a city above. A link to a regional
mosaic of radars is also provided for a wider-scale
picture of the weather.

You can have a NWS meteorologist visit your class,
or possibly even take a tour of the NWS office.

NWS meteorologist Kurt
Weber has compiled a database of all available
observed tornadoes and has placed it into a searchable
database. You can search by Fujita-Scale rating,
month, year, and county. The database will soon
be expanded to include all types of severe weather,
including damaging winds and hail.
