April Cold Snap Rewrites
the Record Books
An incredibly cold airmass that affected the central Tennessee
Valley over the weekend set and tied records that have stood for
decades. However, all but one site remained warm enough to avoid
breaking all-time records for the month of April.
Records are only official at Huntsville (1907 to present) and Muscle
Shoals (1893 to present) but we are including additional long-term
sites for reference. All cooperative observer data (Scottsboro and
Valley Head) is preliminary.
