The NOAA Weather Radio antenna in Cullman continues to operate in a degraded state

NOAA Weather Radio station WWF-66, transmitting out of Cullman on a frequency of 162.450 MHz, continues to be operational, but audio quality will be degraded at times (mainly during periods of heavy rainfall).

This is due to the ongoing issue caused by water leaks into the transmitter's antenna. The antenna for the Cullman transmitter is scheduled to be replaced, although no definitive date has yet to be set. Until then, expect the audio quality to remain degraded at times, especially during periods of heavy rain.

Remember:

During the periods of audio degradation, people across the listening area can get their weather information from WNG-642 out of Arab, transmitting on the frequency of 162.525 MHz
