October 24th-25th, 2010 Severe Weather Event - Radar Images

Jackson-Dekalb County Tornadoes

This radar image from the Hytop radar at 4:06 am CDT shows a strong circulation between Pisgah and Rosalie in Jackson County (noted by the adjacent pink/green colors just north of the "G" in Pisgah). Amazingly, and while not quite as evident in this image, another tornado was occurring just to the south of this tornado, along another notch in the line, just south of the "A" in Pisgah. Note the curve in the boundary between the red and green colors at that location. This tornado eventually strengthened rapidly before entering the Ider community. Marshall County Tornado

This radar image from the Hytop radar at 3:19 am CDT shows a weak circulation in far southwestern Marshall County, just west of the Eddy and Arab communities (noted by the adjacent bright red and green colors). This weak tornado touched down briefly just east of Hwy 231 and tracked about a mile before lifting. Moore County Tornado

This radar image from the Hytop radar at 12:39 am CDT shows a circulation in eastern Moore County, just northeast of Lynchburg (noted by the adjacent bright red and green colors. This tornado did some damage primarily in the Pleasant Hill community and tracked for a little over a mile before lifting. Click on the image to view a radar loop around this time (the radar loop will open in a new window).
