Evacuation and Risk Maps

The increase in coastal population and development and penetration of natural barriers like sand dunes, creates a great potential for enormous loss of life and property when a hurricane threatens Southeast Texas and the Upper Texas Coast. From the good people of the Texas Division of Emergency Management, we now have access to information that can help identify the risk areas that could be affected by hurricane hazards (wind and/or storm surge). The maps below also include a chart that shows the time needed for evacuation of people in each risk area.
