2008 Houston/Galveston Hurricane Workshop
Now is the time to get ready for the 2008 hurricane season. The Houston/Galveston National Weather Service Office will hold its
annual 2008 Workshop on Saturday, June 7th from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the
George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston, Texas. As always, admission is free and open to the public. We hope to see you there!

Of the many threats to residents of Southeast Texas, perhaps the most recognized

While forecasting in itself is hard enough, forecasting hurricanes is by far more difficult.
The intrepid Dr. William Gray of Colorado State University endeavors to do so. He and his team
of researchers publishes a forecast and an updated forecast every year on what they think is
