...STORM SURVEY DETERMINES YESTERDAY'S STORM PRODUCED STRAIGHT LINE 
WIND AND BRIEFLY EF-0 TORNADO DAMAGE IN THE TARKINGTON-MACEDONIA 
AREA...

A NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE STORM SURVEY HAS DETERMINED THAT 
WEDNESDAY'S STORM PRODUCED STRAIGHT LINE WIND DAMAGE NEAR THE 
SOUTHERN BORDER OF SAN JACINTO COUNTY JUST NORTH OF THE SQUIER 
CEMETERY OR ABOUT 2.5 MILES NORTH OF CLEVELAND EXTENDING SOUTHEAST 
TO TARKINGTON PRAIRIE IN LIBERTY COUNTY TO MACEDONIA.  WIND SPEEDS 
WERE ESTIMATED AT 60 TO 70 MPH WHICH DOWNED POWERLINES...FELLED AND 
SNAPPED NUMEROUS TREES. THE TIME OF THIS EVENT BEGAN APPROXIMATELY 
5:10 PM AND ENDED AROUND 6:00 PM. DAMAGE WAS SPORADIC AND NOT 
CONTINUOUS. 

AS THE STORM PASSED BY TO THE SOUTH OF THE CLEVELAND AIRPORT IT 
PRODUCED A WIND GUST TO 61 MPH. PAN EYEWITNESS IN TARKINGTON PRAIRIE 
OBSERVED A FUNNEL CLOUD FORM AND THEN BRIEFLY TOUCH DOWN NEAR FARM 
TO MARKET 163 AND STATE HIGHWAY 321 AT 530 PM. THE STRAIGHT LINE 
WIND DAMAGE WAS SPOTTY UNTIL THE SURVEY FOUND MORE TREE DAMAGE IN 
THE WESTERN PORTIONS OF MACEDONIA FOLLOWED BY THE LAST TOUCHDOWN OF 
AN EF-0 TORNADO WHERE A TORNADO TOUCHED DOWN AGAIN FELLING A TREE 
ONTO A TRAILER HOME NEAR THE INTERSECTION OF FARM TO MARKET 2286 AND 
COUNTY ROAD 2287 AT AROUND 6:00 PM. A WOMAN WAS INJURED INSIDE THE 
TRAILER. NO OTHER DAMAGE WAS FOUND BEYOND THE TRAILER.
