SURFACE HIGH PRESSURE OVER SOUTHEAST TEXAS BROUGHT CLEAR SKIES...
VERY LOW HUMIDITY AND LIGHT WINDS. THESE CONDITIONS ALLOWED
TEMPERATURES TO COOL QUICKLY AFTER SUNSET AND TEMPERATURES
BOTTOMED OUT IN THE UPPER 20S TO LOWER 30S. THIS WAS THE FIRST
SIGNIFICANT AND WIDESPREAD FREEZE FOR SOUTHEAST TEXAS THIS FALL.

AS OF 6 AM...THE LOW TEMPERATURE AT HOUSTON INTERCONTINENTAL
AIRPORT WAS 32 DEGREES. THIS IS THE COLDEST TEMPERATURE SINCE
FEBRUARY 18TH (31 DEGREES). THE LOW TEMPERATURE AT COLLEGE STATION
THIS MORNING WAS 29 DEGREES AND THIS IS THE COLDEST TEMPERATURE
SINCE FEBRUARY 17TH (28 DEGREES). IT IS POSSIBLE THAT TEMPERATURES
COULD FALL ANOTHER DEGREE OR SO BETWEEN 6 AND 7 AM. ALTHOUGH IT
WAS COLD...NONE OF THE TEMPERATURES THIS MORNING TIED OR BROKE
MINIMUM TEMPERATURE RECORDS.
