TEMPERATURES WERE ONCE AGAIN ABOVE NORMAL ACROSS SOUTHEAST TEXAS TODAY
AS THEY HAVE BEEN FOR MOST OF THE SUMMER. TEMPERATURES AT BOTH
COLLEGE STATION AND HOUSTON REACHED 100 DEGREES. A HIGH TEMPERATURE
OF 94 DEGREES WITH A BALMY LOW TEMPERATURE OF 84 DEGREES WAS
RECORDED AT GALVESTON SCHOLES FIELD.

AT HOUSTON INTERCONTINENTAL AIRPORT...TODAY WAS THE 16TH
100-DEGREE OR HIGHER DAY FOR 2009...TYING FOR THE FIFTH HIGHEST
TOTAL ON RECORD FOR ANY SUMMER. AT COLLEGE STATION...TODAY WAS
THE 48TH 100-DEGREE OR HIGHER DAY OF THE YEAR...TYING FOR THE
FOURTH HIGHEST TOTAL ON RECORD FOR ANY SUMMER. ADDITIONAL
100-DEGREE DAYS ARE LIKELY IN COLLEGE STATION IN THE NEXT FEW DAYS AND
THE SUMMER TOTAL SHOULD EASILY MOVE TO AT LEAST SECOND HIGHEST.

FOR BOTH HOUSTON AND COLLEGE STATION...THE PERIOD FROM JUNE 1ST
