2013 CLOSED OUT WITH BELOW NORMAL RAINFALL AND WITH NEAR TO BELOW
NORMAL TEMPERATURES ACROSS MOST OF SOUTHEAST TEXAS. ANNUAL RAINFALL
WAS BELOW NORMAL FOR THE FIRTH CONSECUTIVE YEAR IN HOUSTON...THE
SIXTH YEAR IN A ROW FOR GALVESTON...AND THE FIFTH OUT OF SIX FOR
COLLEGE STATION.

AND FROM THE BELIEVE IT OR NOT COLUMN...THE ANNUAL AVERAGE
TEMPERATURE IN HOUSTON WAS ACTUALLY BELOW THE 30 YEAR NORMALS
FOR 2013. LAST YEAR...THE AVERAGE ANNUAL TEMPERATURE FOR HOUSTON
WAS THE WARMEST EVER RECORDED...SO 2013 PROVIDED SOME RELIEF. THE
AVERAGE ANNUAL TEMPERATURE WAS LAST BELOW NORMAL IN 2010. BELOW
IS THE UNOFFICIAL 2013 TEMPERATURE AND RAINFALL DATA FOR THE CITY
OF HOUSTON...HOBBY AIRPORT...THE CITY OF GALVESTON...AND THE CITY
OF COLLEGE STATION. BELOW EACH VALUE IN PARENTHESIS IS THE
DEPARTURE FROM THE 30 YEAR NORMALS.
