October 2001 Monthly Precipitation for North Texas ranged from zero for a few areas south of Gainesville and Mineral Wells, to over 6 inches east of Mesquite. Four to Five inches were common for areas east of a line from Sherman to Hillsboro to Centerville. Areas west of this line were generally in the 1 to 3 inch range.
