September 2001 Monthly Precipitation Map shows rainfall was heaviest north of Sherman and Gainesville, where over 12 inches of rain fell, and near Greenville and Palestine. Generaly rainfall amounts from 2 to 3 inches were common, with the driest areas between Graham and Mineral Wells, and between Waco and Mexia.
