Small stream flooding refers to natural streams, with the general perception referring to those streams in rural areas.<br><br> Depending on the flooding situation the advisory will to conform to the type of flooding being addressed (i.e., urban versus small stream). It will be issued to provide information on urban and/or small stream flooding, which is generally only an inconvenience to persons living in the affected area.
