NOAA Climate Program
The NOAA Climate Program consists of climate data management and information services, monthly and seasonal predictions, impact assessments, and research and monitoring. Climate data management includes continuous quality review, computer processing, and inventorying of large numbers of conventional surface, upper-air, and marine weather observations along with satellite-measured parameters, for conversion into specialized forms of information for wide use.
NOAA climate services range from climatological activities that began with the establishment of the Weather Bureau in the late 19th century to new efforts such as product and technique development activities of the Climate Analysis Center (CAC) established in 1979.
The National Weather Service office in Fort Worth can answer general climate requests concerning North Central Texas. We have extensive climate information about North Central Texas on our website.
