| 8th | 1921 - From the 8th through the 10th, 215 people drowned the worst rainstorm Texas history. 1900 - On the 8th and 9th, the great Galveston hurricane killed 6,000 to 8,000 people. This was the worst natural disaster U.S. history terms of fatalities. |

| 20th | 1967 - 67 tornadoes occurred across the state association with Hurricane Beulah. This was the most tornadoes any 24 hour period Texas. |
| 21st | 1900 - On the 20th and 21st, 7" of rain fell overnight Fort Worth, resulting a 20 foot rise the Trinity River. |
| 22nd | 1983 - Bridgeport, McKinney and Weatherford recorded morning low temperatures the 30s. |
| 23rd | 2000 - At 5 minutes to midnight, DFW Airport received 0.01" of rain ending the longest measurable rain-free period on record. The new record, 84 days, began Jul. 1st. It eclipsed the old record of 58 days set from Nov. 4th to Dec. 31st, 1950. An additional 0.16" of rain fell on Sep. 24th, 2000. 1966 - The River Forecast Center moved into the federal building downtown Fort Worth, adjacent to the public forecast office. |

| 28th | 1953 - Dublin had a high of 109°F. 1908 - Low temperature of 40°F Fort Worth tied the record for the month of September. 1900 - Heavy rain caused the Trinity River Fort Worth to rise to a height of 35 feet, and was over one mile wide. |
