1st 1912 - 2.71" of rain fell McKinney.

2nd 1982 - F4 tornado at Paris killed 10 people and injuries 170.
1980 - A hail storm across Parker, Tarrant and Johnson Counties did over 60 million dollars worth of damage.
1957 - F3 tornado hit Oak Cliff and West Dallas, killing 10 people and injuring 200. Damage from the tornado was 4 million dollars.
3rd 1987 - Last freeze of the spring occurred at DFW.
1975 - Low temperature at Waco was 27°F, which was a record for the month of April.
1964 - F5 tornado at Wichita Falls killed 7 people.
4th 1986 - Golf ball size hail and heavy rawas widespread across North Texas. 5.6" of rain fell at Lake Lavon.
5th 1961 - The WSR-57 radar was commissioned at Fort Worth.
6th 1955 - F2 tornado killed one person Grayson County.
7th 1928 - The latest snowfall on record occurred the Dallas/Fort Worth area.
1904 - F2 tornado killed 5 people in Limestone and Freestone Counties.
8th 1922 - F3 tornado at OplCallahan County, killed 5 people and injured 30.
1919 - F4 tornado killed 18 people in Collin and Fannin Counties.
9th 1963 - High of 101°F at Waco set a record for the month of April.
1947 - F5 tornado at White Deer killed 42 people and injured 201.
1919 - F4 tornado moved across Henderson, Van Zandt, Wood, Camp and Red River Counties, killing 42 people and injuring 150.
10th 1979 - F4 tornado at Wichita Falls did 400 million dollars damage and was the most destructive tornado U.S. history. It was part of the Red River outbreak Texas and Oklahoma that killed 58 people Texas.
1962 - A hail storm and high winds hit the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Hail 6" deep was reported Oak Cliff.
1935 - A widespread dust storm hit North Texas.
11th 1989 - Low temperature of 29°F at DFW was a record for the month of April.
1896 - F3 tornado killed 1 person in Callahan County.
1893 - Severe hail storm hit Dallas and Oak Cliff.
12th 1927 - F5 tornado killed 74 persons and injured 205 Central Texas.

18th 1927 - F4 tornado killed 11 people Lamar County.
1925 - High of 100°F at Fort Worth set a record for the month of April.
1911 - Kaufman received 3.56" of rain.
19th 1928 - F2 tornado killed one person Johnson County.
20th 1938 - Severe thunderstorm produced wind gusts to 68 mph Meacham Field Fort Worth.
1912 - F4 tornadoes killed 4 people Wise County and one person Denton County.
21st 1985 - F3 tornado killed 3 people Elbert, on the Young/Throckmorton County line.
1954 - The WSR-1 radar became operational at Amon Carter Field (GSW).
1909 - F2 tornado killed one person in Coryell County.
1885 - F2 tornado killed one person in Grayson County.
22nd 1942 - Trinity River at Dallas crested at 45.4 feet. This was the third highest stage ever recorded.
1885 - F2 tornado killed one person Hill County.
1879 - Corsicana had 6.31" of rain in four hours "washing out all bridges within 30 miles".
23rd 1942 - F1 tornado killed one person in Stephens County.
1908 - F4 tornado killed one person in Lamar County and an F3 tornado killed 3 people in Navarro County.
1893 - F4 tornado in Montague and Cooke Counties killed one person.
24th 1929 - F4 tornado killed 7 people in Anderson County.
1922 - On the 24th and 25th, 8.48" of rain fell in Fort Worth 14 hours, causing the worst flooding the history of the city. Three people drowned.
1904 - F1 tornado in Limestone and Freestone Counties killed one person.
25th 1994 - F4 tornado killed 3 people in Lancaster. Also, a hail storm across Tarrant County and damage from 5 other tornadoes resulted over 300 million dollars damage across the area.
1953 - The Dallas forecast office moved to Amon Carter Field (GSW), just south of the current location of DFW.
1886 - F2 tornado killed one person in Bell County.
26th 1994 - 23 tornadoes touched down North Texas, 19 of them where along the Red River from just east of Wichita Falls to west of Texarkana.
1906 - F4 tornado Bellevue killed 17 people.
27th 1969 - Tornado moved through a Plano mobile home park injuring 42 people.
1907 - F4 tornado killed 9 people Cooke County.
1883 - F4 tornado killed 5 people Bell County.
28th 1995 - A hailstorm across Tarrant and Dallas Counties caused 220 million dollars damage, mostly at DFW airport.
1992 - A destructive hail storm from Tarrant County south to Waco caused 600 million dollars damage.
1966 - Flash flooding Dallas County resulted 14 people drowning and 15 million dollars damage.
1893 - F4 tornado at Cisco killed 23 people and injured 93.
29th 1958 - The Dallas weather office moved to a new administrative building on Lemon Avenue.
30th 1949 - Two F3 tornadoes killed 6 people in Fannin County.
1940 - F2 tornado killed 3 people in Navarro County.
