National Weather Service Nashville TN

.DISCUSSION...

Pesky convection has continued into the evening, albeit isolated
in nature. Will keep pops and weather grids as they are for now,
and wait to see if convection continues to diminish toward
midnight and becomes more focused over western counties, as
suggested by the latest HRRR.

Have released a new set of zone forecasts to bring them in line
with the updated NPW, and may issue another update later this
evening after a more reliable overnight trend in precip
(hopefully) becomes established.

The atmosphere will remain moist and unstable across the Mid-
State through the forecast period, along with a chance for
thunderstorms. Aside from a period of MVFR conditions late
tonight and early Friday at CKV and CSV, due to BR, expect VFR
conditions to prevail during the forecast period. Of course, if a
rogue thunderstorm happens to pass over a terminal a brief period
of MVFR/IFR may also ensue.
